Do you ever feel the mask, skintight?
Suffocating, till at last, you breathe right?
‘Right’ is defined by society; it ascribes,
‘Rebel’ to those unwilling to subscribe.

Do you ever feel the world just slide by?
Sweeping you along with the high tide?
That no matter the route that you try,
All you can do is hold your breath and not die?

Do you ever feel the hatred in those lines?
Dripping with vitriol ‘cause you’re not quite,
The same as them, but that’s alright.
Remember, society defines what’s all ‘Right’.

Do you ever feel like a lone blight?
Fuck that! What you are is a rogue light!
Haters would rather you never find,
Your true self, don’t fucking prove them right!
