Truths cripple
And perhaps a most profound one
Is that our journeys
Are like a gloomy dark blanket
Splotched with tiny freckles of joy

So temper your curiousness
For the truth will set you free;
Free and sprawling into the black abyss;
Adrift, hopeless, and alone

Better to gambol; frolic
Wind your merry way across these hills
Tethered to ignorance
Bound happily by the things unknown
